I am new to vintage audio and I recently picked up some altec 414z speakers. I found the 414a literature and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with these. I think the basket color may be the only difference. Thanks!photo

dtrider; the 414Z is nice speaker. The Z is a 16 ohms impedance. The one in the photo came inside a cabinet and
that ?s why it does not have teh magnet cover. The 9844 Studio Monitor uses two 414?s. I have 2 of those cabinets since 1975 and I won?t cahange them for any.
    Hope it helps
